Comunita Montana del Sebino Bresciano
The Mountain Community of Sebino Bresciano was born in 1974 and today is made up of nine Municipalities for a total of about 35 thousand inhabitants.
Lake Iseo or Sebino, typically alpine, finds a succession of small villages on the eastern shore of Brescia, hilly areas with olive trees, chestnut woods up to the high altitude pastures.
The Mountain Community of Sebino Bresciano (www.cmsebino.bs.it) is a supramunicipal entity to which the Municipalities of Ome, Monticelli Brusati, Iseo, Monte Isola, Sulzano, Sale Marasino, Marone, Zone and Pisogne belong.
The main objectives are the protection and enhancement of mountain areas and the provision of services in the associated management, in the sectors of agriculture, public-technical works, social services, tenders and competitions, and cultural promotion.
Thanks to the contribution of the Lombardy Region regarding the call for Asset Enhancement and Development of Mountain Areas, the idea arose in 2017 to create the collective Lago d’Iseo Sebino Brand to identify the most representative local resources of Sebino Bresciano.
The categories that may request use of the brand are tourist services, food products, events and exhibitions, by virtue of the ability for hospitality, the quality of production and the capacity to promote and transmit the territory.
